Trip to Mohali in May
Tour Overview
In May 2024, students took a thrilling Turing Trip to Mohali, visiting the cultural and historical landscapes of Delhi, Agra, and Amritsar. The voyage, which lasted from May 3rd to May 19th, was a rich mix of education, history, and adventure.
The journey started on May 3rd with an early arrival in Delhi, followed by a lovely drive to Agra. After settling in, students explored the breathtaking Agra Fort and saw the Taj Mahal at dusk, witnessing its famous metamorphosis in the evening light.
The company returned to Delhi on May 5th and saw notable landmarks such as the Red Fort, Humayun’s Tomb, and the towering Qutub Minar. These locations offered great insights into India’s rich history and architectural marvels.
On May 8th, the party landed in Mohali and began their academic journey by visiting Punjab University in Chandigarh, which is well-known for its architectural arrangement. Students also visited the Pinjore Garden and Rabab Studio, where they learnt about multimedia production in cutting-edge facilities.
On May 11, the journey travelled to Amritsar, where students marvelled at the tranquil Golden Temple and witnessed the ancient Palki Ceremony. The following day, students paid an emotional visit to Jallianwala Bagh, strengthening their awareness of India’s struggle for independence.
On May 14th, the group returned to Mohali and visited Sukhna Lake and the Rock Garden in Chandigarh, where they enjoyed the tranquilly of these magnificent settings. The journey ended on May 19th, with a return to Delhi for a flight back to the UK.
Lessons Learned: This immersive trip provided students with a deeper understanding of India’s rich culture and history while exposing them to modern multimedia production. The combination of learning, exploration, and hands-on experiences made this journey both educational and unforgettable.
