Trip to Barcelona
Tour Overview
In May 2024, students went on a Turing Trip to Barcelona, combining cultural experiences with meaningful learning. The journey began on May 6th with a morning flight from Manchester to Barcelona, where the party stayed at the Aparthotel Attica 21 Vallés in Sabadell.
The vacation included a combination of educational courses and sightseeing. Beginning on May 7th, students attended daily workshop sessions at the hotel, which focused on digital skills and coding practices. These sessions provided significant insights into the world of technology, allowing students to improve their technical skills.
In between classes, participants had plenty of opportunity to explore the bustling metropolis. On May 10th, they enjoyed a cultural trip to La Rambla and the Gothic Quarter, where they explored historic streets.
The group also used their free time for leisurely trips, such as a relaxed day at Playa de La Barceloneta Beach on May 15th, when students enjoyed the sun and sea. The trip culminated on May 17th with a return flight to Manchester, capping off a week of study and cultural enrichment.
Lessons Learnt: Students learnt real coding skills while exploring Barcelona’s rich history and culture. The combination of workshops and exploration facilitated personal and professional development, making the trip an unforgettable learning experience.
