Trip to Mohali in July
Tour Overview
In July 2024, students went on an engaging Turing Trip to Mohali, which included stops in Delhi, Agra, and Amritsar. The journey was an ideal combination of education, culture, and history, making it an unforgettable experience.
The journey began on July 6th with a stop in Delhi, followed by a transfer to Agra. After a day of relaxation, students toured the architectural grandeur of Agra Fort and saw the breathtaking Taj Mahal at nightfall, watching the monument transform as daylight faded.
On July 8th, the company returned to Delhi and saw the city’s prominent attractions, including the Red Fort, Humayun’s Tomb, and the majestic Qutub Minar. These historical landmarks provided detailed insights into India’s rich heritage.
After landing in Mohali on July 11th, students visited Punjab University, which is noted for its beautiful architecture. This was followed by a trip to Pinjore Garden and a visit to Rabab Studio, where they learnt about multimedia production in a cutting-edge recording facility.
On July 15th, the company travelled to Amritsar to see the majestic Golden Temple and witness the calm Palki ceremony. The following day, we visited the ancient Jallianwala Bagh, which serves as a heartbreaking memory of India’s freedom struggle.
Students returned to Mohali on July 18th and explored Sukhna Lake and Rock Garden, taking in the splendour of Chandigarh’s picturesque settings. The journey ended on July 20th, with a return to Delhi for a flight back to the UK.
Lessons learnt: During the journey, students gained valuable knowledge about India’s history, culture, and architecture, while also engaging with modern technology through interactive workshops and studio visits. The mix of learning and exploration made this trip truly unforgettable.
